The emphasis is on baby fun for these photoshoots so they work very well as a memorable treat for first birthdays.
NB Cake Smashes are exclusively for parents and babies but up to 3 siblings can attend the first part of the session and be included in the pre cake smash photographs for the Gold Package - please advise on sibling ages beforehand. There is a local park at the end of the road where one parent or another adult can take siblings during the remainder of the session.
Please let me know if your child has any food allergies so that my cake maker can provide a dairy free and/or egg free cake for them.

Chiswick Child Photography has a huge choice of themed backdrops and set ups for cake smash sessions ranging from Boss Baby, Dinosaur, Princess, Space, Beach, Swan, Teddies, Sunshine, Wild One, Boho, Camping, Pumpkin, Forest, Camping, Autumn, Winnie the Pooh, Peter Rabbit, Flower Garden and Jungle backdrops to more classic style balloon themed backdrops. Clients can choose these in advance from the Cake Smash Backdrop gallery page. The beach and camping backdrops include a pre cake smash baby in boat photograph and the Swan Lake backdrop include a pre cake smash Baby sitting in Swan Rocking chair photograph.
Beautiful and delicious personalised cakes are included in every cake smash session. These are made by a professional cake make and clients can choose a cake style (and colour) from the Cake Gallery page of this website. Most babies don't completely demolish the cake (with the odd exception!) and parents can therefore take whatever is left home to enjoy at home.
Please let Catherine know if your baby has any food allergies so that an allergen free cake can be made for your baby. The cake maker can make dairy and egg free cakes on request.
Baby outfits (including themed outfits for set ups such as Boss Baby) are provided for the cake smash and handmade couture baby dresses imported from the USA are also available for pre cake smash baby portrait photographs. You can view these by clicking on the Baby Couture Dress Gallery page.
There are several different packages available to suit different budgets and preferences.
All packages are available for twin sessions. Most twins are happy to share the cake included in the package but you can purchase an additional cake as an add-on if you would prefer them each to sit with their own cake.
The larger cake smash packages include classic baby portrait and family photographs at the start of the session and a picture of your baby sitting next to a teddy bear in a vintage suitcase plus a baby bath splash in a claw foot baby bath tub at the end. If your baby enjoys bath time the bath photographs are often the most smiley ones.
Chiswick Child Photography has a clear package pricing structure with no hidden costs.
The image editing turnaround is usually completed within a few days.

Booking Deposit Fee: £200 (part payment towards package)
Please give a minimum of 24 hours notice for cancellations/date changes in order to avoid the £100 late cancellation fee which will otherwise be deducted from your deposit. The booking fee is non refundable but can be used towards later packages if clients cancel with a minimum of 24 hours notice.
Please note that the photographer will select the best images from each session for editing.
Unedited images are not available for viewing and RAW files/unedited images are not given.
Please note that clients are not allowed to take their own photographs and/or video footage during sessions.
Additional editing requests will be charged at a rate of £20 per image edit (on top of the package price).
A maximum of 5 additional edited images may be requested for packages which include at least 20 edited images.
A maximum of 3 additional edited images may be requested for packages which include fewer than 20 edited images.
Additional editing charges need to be paid in advance.
Additional digital images may also be purchased at a rate of £20 per image.

- Up to 3 siblings can be included in the 8 pre cake smash family photographs if booked in advance but under 5s cannot stay for the remainder of the session as they tend to be too much of a distraction for babies (and parents) which can affect the cake smash and bath splash photographs
- Includes two images of baby sitting in a vintage suitcase next to a teddy bear
- Includes one image of baby sitting on a flokati rug (girls can wear a studio baby couture dress for these photos)
