Late Availability Mini Newborn Photography Package: £250
This package is only available for Monday to Friday late availability sessions

• One Hour Studio Newborn Photoshoot including use of studio props, hats, wraps etc
• This package can include one parent/s and baby photograph
• This package includes two or three set ups (possibly more for very sleepy babies) which are most likely to be set ups where your baby is lying on their back  e.g. in felted layers or a bowl/basket/shell prop/flower prop/boat basket all of which work well with both sleeping and awake babies. 1-3 week old babies are more likely to settle well into sleepy poses as they tend to be deeper sleepers who settle more quickly.
• This package is only available for late availability Monday to Thursday sessions and cannot be booked more than a week in advance
• Individual Image Enhancement/editing and private viewing gallery (10 edited images)
• 8 High resolution images transferred by WeTransfer for instant download  
• 2 additional image will be given to clients who give permission for some of the images to be used for the Chiswick Child   Photography website and/or for Chiswick Child Photography promotions.

Price reduced to £375 for week day sessions (excluding bank holidays)

• This package will include a mixture of parent/s & baby and baby only images    
• Individual Image Enhancement and private viewing gallery (20 edited images)
• 15 Print quality jpeg images sent via WeTransfer for instant download

• 3.5 hour Studio (West London) Newborn Photoshoot including use of studio props, hats, wraps and one or two New Mama Gowns
• This package can include a mixture of parent/s and baby, sibling and baby and grandparent baby plus baby only photographs. 
• Can include both parents (and siblings and/or one or two Grandparents for the first or last hour of the photoshoot)
• As this is a longer session there is more time to get a larger variety of images 
• Individual Image Enhancement and private viewing gallery (40 edited images)
• 35 print quality Images sent via WeTransfer for instant download ​
• 5 additional images plus a multi image on USB are given to clients who give permission for some of the images to be used for the Chiswick Child Photography website and/or Chiswick Child Photography promotions.

 Twin Sessions:

Parents of twins can book any of these packages but may want to book a larger package if they want both twin and individual baby photographs. If you have identical twins please let Catherine know in advance whether you would prefer to have them wearing identical, similar or different outfits/colours for the session. If you are a single parent with twins you may wish to try to bring another adult with you to help with feeds/changes/settling during the session. 
 
Why should I choose Chiswick Child Photography for a newborn photoshoot?

Catherine has been photographing newborn babies and their families for over 15 years and is therefore very experienced in safely settling, posing and photographing newborn babies (including older newborns) and their families so that sessions are relaxing for babies and parents. Catherine is often described as a baby whisperer by her clients. 

The Chiswick Child Photography studio has both natural light and professional Profoto lighting systems (gentle on young eyes).

Family newborn images include backlit images in addition to more traditional backdrop images.

Packages can include macro photographs (such as close up photographs of tiny fingers & toes, eyelashes etc). These capture tiny details such as flakey newborn skin and baby milk spots. 

Catherine is experienced in editing photographs individually with a variety of specialist software to achieve the best results. Please don't worry if your baby has blotchy or flaky skin (both very normal in newborns) as this can usually be edited out. 

The studio has a wide diversity of newborn wraps, outfits, props etc to suit different styles and tastes and clients are asked to give Catherine their style and colour preferences beforehand so that the session can be tailored towards these. 

Please let Catherine know if you would like to include some black and white images so that Catherine can plan set ups that work best for black and white. 

In addition there are several New Mama Gowns new mums can wear for the family photographs as well as children's dresses and Angel Wings for sibling photographs.

All packages include high resolution images and there are several different packages available to suit different budgets and preferences.

Chiswick Child Photography has a clear package pricing structure with no hidden costs.

​The image editing turnaround is usually completed within a few days.

When is the best time for a newborn photoshoot?

The ideal time for a newborn photoshoot is when your baby is 6-21 days old.  This is because babies retain their "newborn curl"/womb position until they are around ten days old and tend to be much deeper sleepers during the first three weeks which makes posing them for a variety of beautiful sleeping baby images much easier. 

Timing is particularly important for newborn twin sessions if parents are hoping for photographs of their babies sleeping together. 

If your baby is born earlier than expected then please try to come once your baby reaches their due date and/or weighs at least 2.7 kilos.

If your baby is born by C Section I recommend waiting until your baby is at least two weeks old to give new mums sufficient recovery time. 

Please try to book a provisional session date before your baby is born (if possible) to avoid disappointment during busy periods. This date can be changed if your baby arrives earlier or later than expected. 

What if my baby is already over 3 weeks old or I need more recovery time after the birth?

Catherine is also experienced in photographing older newborns (up to 8 weeks old) and will talk to parents about timing the session to try to achieve some of the classic sleeping poses. Older newborns tend to take longer to settle and are usually lighter sleepers so these sessions usually include more photographs of wrapped babies lying on their backs but this obviously varies from baby to baby. The advantage of later newborn sessions is that these are more likely to include a mixture of awake and sleeping photographs. 

Can I feed my baby during the session?

Catherine usually recommends that parents who live locally give their baby a main feed just before leaving home and then provide top up feeds as needed during the session as this helps newborns to settle into a good sleep during the session.  Parents who live further away should aim to give their baby a main feed on arrival so that the sleep window isn't wasted on the journey here. 

What is included in each newborn photography package?

• Session time (there are a range of packages to suit different budgets and family sizes)

• Use of a wide range of props and outfits

• Individual editing of the best images from the session (the number of images edited are clearly provided in the package prices)    
• A private viewing gallery to view your images once the editing is completed (usually within a few days of the session)
• All packages include high resolution jpg images which are sent to clients via WeTransfer for instant download        An additional identical set of low resolution images suitable for email and social media can also be requested without charge
• Some packages also include Fine Art Prints (and extra prints can be purchased)

If your baby tends to take longer than most to settle during a newborn photoshoot you can (if I don't have another session booked in afterwards) extend your session by up to an hour for an additional price of £50.

Please note that the photographer will select the best images from each session for editing.

Unedited images are not available for viewing and RAW files are not given. 

​Please note that clients are not allowed to take their own photographs and/or video footage during sessions. 

Additional editing requests will be charged at a rate of £20 per photograph (on top of the package price).
A maximum of 5 additional edited images may be requested for packages which include at least 20 edited images. 
A maximum of 3 additional edited images may be requested for packages which include fewer than 20 edited images. 
Additional editing charges need to be paid in advance.
Individual additional digital images may be purchased at a rate of £20 per image. 


​Booking Deposit Fee: £200 (part payment towards package)

Please give a minimum of 24 hours notice for cancellations/date changes in order to avoid the £100 late cancellation fee which will otherwise be deducted from your deposit.  The booking fee is non refundable but can be used towards later packages if clients cancel with a minimum of 24 hours notice.
